The Transformative Leader Program
An award and leadership development program for leaders addressing systemic inequity through social, cultural, economic, or community-based solutions.
The Transformative Leader Award Program (TLP) is an 8-month leadership development program for social impact, social justice, and nonprofit leaders. The program is designed to recognize leaders for their work and support them in building strategies that navigate existing barriers and lead to sustainable change. TLP offers the opportunity for change-driven leaders to learn and build skills to navigate systems change, improve operations and efficiency, and build relationships with like-minded peers.
The Transformative Leader Program intends to recognize leaders who are making an impact. This program intentionally centers on justice, equity, and impact as the core principles within an infrastructure designed and led by individuals with both lived experience and expertise. Through a series of virtual gatherings, work sessions, and expert-led workshops, this program will provide leaders with targeted knowledge and experiential opportunities to engage with peers around common issues, challenges, and promising practices. The Transformative Leader Program will facilitate growth and applicable solutions at the individual, operational (internal), and system-based (external) levels. This program will support leaders in developing and enhancing the skills they need to advance and sustain their work and build strategies to navigate existing barriers. Leaders from all sectors are invited to apply, including but not limited to nonprofit organizations, philanthropic organizations, social impact businesses, community groups, corporations, academic institutions, and government and political leaders.
The Transformative Leader Program model incorporates:
- Facilitated learning through discussions that follow a curriculum designed to build specific areas of knowledge
- Individualized personal leadership development
- Organizational growth plans that center equity, efficiency, and impactful solutions
- Mentoring and coaching based on the specific needs of the leader and the strategic growth plan
- Training, tools, and resources that focus on wellness and care for social impact and equity leaders
Selected participants will receive a $3,000 award for acceptance into the program, participate in virtual workshops and individual leadership strategy sessions, and attend AMPLIFY the Transformative Leader award celebration.

Note: the kick-off session will take place from 10am-2pm, and the monthly workshops are 10am-12pm, virtually. Participation in all sessions is mandatory.
